As you drive through Rookhope village and over the bridge to Rookhope Burn Cottage, we hope that you’ll find a comfortable and friendly home from home whilst visiting our area of outstanding natural beauty, either as a family break from the hustle and bustle of city life or a welcomed pit stop on the 133 gruelling miles of the C2C.

Comprising of two twin bedrooms and a spacious airy living room, Rookhope Burn Cottage also benefits from a modern fitted kitchen and bathroom, along with the ability to accommodate up to 6 guests providing the following amenities:

Bedrooms
Each room has two twin beds, with a bedside cabinet and reading lamp, accommodating up to four guests.

Living Room
With pull out sofa beds to accommodate an additional two guests, along with a dining room table/chairs and large flat screen TV, you’ll be able to relax in the comfort of your own space.

Kitchen
The fully modernised kitchen comes with oven, hob, fridge, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster and all the cooking utensils you’d expect in self catering accommodation.  A welcome pack can also be provided upon request with the essentials you need to make yourself a nice cup of tea or coffee and cook a hearty breakfast.

 

Bathroom
The modern bathroom comes with a sink, WC and a welcoming bath to soak in as you unwind from your day or if you would prefer we also have a refreshing shower (over bath) to revive and awaken you. 

Garage
A lockable garage is provided to store your bicycles in overnight.  Please note that all items left in the garage are at the owner’s responsibility.
Rookhope Village
In addition to Rookhope Inn, a traditional pub providing good food, hospitality and real ale refreshments, you will also find a village shop, community hall and St John’s Church which dates back to 1822 when it was first erected.
Location
Only 1 hours drive from Sunderland and Newcastle upon Tyne or 40 minutes drive from Durham.
